Welcome to my website, and thank you for stopping by!

Allow me to use this space for focusing on the work and art I’d like to share with the world.

And, allow me to introduce myself as AJ Val, the multihyphenate.

As an artist, I create using a combination of audio and visual mediums. Between acoustic piano, film photography, and creative marketing, these top a healthy list of complementary expressions. My project alias, director name, and creative brand which encompasses my work and related collaborations - “the smartest animal.”

As a human, my passions run deep - between rich multiculturalism as a Haitian-Filipino, and the fiercely loyal fandom of Philadelphia Eagles football. I think now more than ever, real art created by real humans deserves all of our attention and backing.

Creating music, photo, video, audio, marketing, and writing projects near-simultaneously has been the healthiest way to channel my energies into positive outcomes. Not only for myself, but for the impact that my art has.

And so, it becomes important for me to be intentional about what I create, how uniquely it’s presented, how genuine it feels, how rich it sounds, and how those in proximity respond to it.

I’ve played piano since the age of four; it’s been the north star for how I’ve decided to present my work. Almost seamlessly, the niche for acoustic piano was created via the solo outfit A2nelito. Four piano albums, hundreds of beats, a wealth of self-discovery, and avenues to new connections and timeless moments.

The 2020s have brought the richest of opportunities to explore immersive events containing video presentations, photo print displays, live band performances. Directed by the smartest animal, strengthened by vibrant community and network, brought out with care and intent.
